I honestly can’t remember a time when Joseph Chris Partners wasn’t part of my life. My parents, Joe and Victoria Ramirez, founded this company in our garage in 1977, and they had me stuffing envelopes for mailouts to potential clients when I was just a young girl. I guess you can stay I started in the “mailroom” and made it all the way to the CEO’s office!
After playing college sports and exploring a career in law enforcement, I came home to Houston and joined Joseph Chris Partners in 1998 as a recruiter, and with my dad as a mentor, I quickly established myself as a leading consultant in the industry. Even back then, I worked hard to provide clients with a consistent flow of quality candidates and business partnerships. With clients, I’ve always sought to be a strategic partner and to work with integrity and unmatched professionalism. The combination of “head and heart” is among my greatest assets.
Throughout my career, I’ve focused on building relationships that have enabled me to provide my clients with candidates in C-level roles and executive positions in finance, sales, and marketing, operations, and land. I’ve developed multi-divisional relationships with both public and privately held companies, even when they may operate within one local market.
In October of 2005, I was named President of the company and three years later assumed the role of CEO, filling my father’s shoes as he moved into retirement. In December of 2009, the transition in leadership from father to daughter was completed when I purchased the company at company value. Going into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, we made strategic decisions as a team that kept the doors open, and those at work created a plan that proved a win when a healthy economy returned.
Joseph Chris Partners is my greatest success, and I’m fortunate enough to carry on my parents’ legacy with a team of dedicated, fun professionals who I enjoy spending a big chunk of my life with!
Always striving to be the best I can be—leader, partner, daughter, friend, mentor—I make continuous learning a priority, investing time and money in leadership and culture training through Landmark, Strategic Coach, Spiral Dynamics, The Tony Robbins Series, and many others through the years.
Outside of work, I love riding motorcycles, cycling, RV trips, safaris, deep sea fishing, archery, sporting clays, and golf. When I can take them, my Golden Retriever Lexi and my Golden Doodle Luci join me on my adventures! I also serve on the board for the Pinnacle Society, The Premier Consortium of Industry-Leading Recruiters in North America. Giving back is important to me, and I do so through organizations that support our service members and their families, first responders and cancer research, and, of course through Turn Kings Harbor Blue, our own community service event benefitting law enforcement and their families.
