About Veronica Ramirez
I honestly can't remember a time when Joseph Chris Partners wasn't part of my life.
My parents, Joe and Victoria Ramirez, founded the company in our garage in 1977. Long before I understood executive recruiting, I was stuffing envelopes, helping with mail campaigns, and learning that success comes from showing up, working hard, and serving people well. Looking back, I guess you could say I started in the mailroom and eventually earned my way to the CEO's office.
After playing college basketball and exploring a career with the fire department, I came home to Houston and joined Joseph Chris Partners in 1998. I started as a recruiter under the toughest mentor I could have asked for—my dad. Working for your father isn't always easy. His expectations for me were higher than anyone else's, and I'm grateful they were. He taught me that integrity isn't negotiable, relationships are everything, and your reputation follows you long after the deal is done.
Those lessons became the foundation of my career.
I quickly realized recruiting wasn't about filling positions. It's about changing lives, building companies, solving problems, and creating opportunities that impact families for generations. Every search represents a business trusting us with its future and a candidate trusting us with one of the biggest decisions of their career. That's a responsibility I've never taken lightly.
Over the last 28 years, I've partnered with public and privately held companies to recruit executive leadership across operations, finance, accounting, sales, marketing, construction, land acquisition, land development, and C-suite leadership. Many of those client relationships have lasted decades because they're built on trust, transparency, consistency, and delivering results.
I've always believed the best recruiters lead with both head and heart. Market knowledge matters. Strategy matters. Relationships matter. But listening, understanding, and genuinely caring about people are what transform a transaction into a long-term partnership.
In 2005, I was honored to become President of Joseph Chris Partners. Three years later, I had one of the greatest privileges of my life when I purchased the company from my father and stepped into the role of CEO. Continuing the legacy my parents built is both a tremendous responsibility and an incredible honor. Every day, I strive to preserve the values they instilled while continually evolving our company to meet the changing needs of our clients and candidates.
If there's one accomplishment I'm most proud of, it's our people.
Our team is incredibly talented, passionate, hardworking, and genuinely cares about making a difference. Watching them grow professionally, celebrate victories together, and impact thousands of careers is one of the greatest rewards of my leadership journey.
Outside of work, adventure fuels my soul. Whether I'm riding motorcycles across the country, cycling, canoeing, hiking iconic mountains, exploring America in an RV, heading out on safari, deep-sea fishing, shooting sporting clays, practicing archery, or enjoying a round of golf, I believe life's greatest memories are made by saying "yes" to new experiences.
The people I love keep me grounded. Spending time with my family, my brother Joey, my sister-in-law Lisa, their five children, my parents, and my five dogs, Lexi, Marci, Paris, Baker, and little Ruby, is where I recharge and remember what matters most.
Giving back is woven into who I am.
Supporting service members, veterans, wounded warriors, and Gold Star families is deeply personal to me. Whether helping veterans access benefits they've earned, supporting organizations that care for military families, honoring the sacrifices of those who gave everything, or simply serving someone who needs a helping hand, I believe gratitude should always be expressed through action.
At the end of the day, I don't measure success solely by the companies we've helped build or the thousands of executives we've placed. I measure it by the relationships we've earned, the lives we've impacted, and the legacy we're building.
If I can leave people more hopeful than when I found them, strengthen a business, change a family's future, and honor those who have sacrificed so much for ours, then I know I've spent my life doing meaningful work.
